Hi,

I would like to use MT/MMD to edit LaTeX content easily.

Unfortunately, when I try to import the plugin in MT by copying the
files (from /bin ?), MT returns (in French) something like "Loading
Error" in the Plugins List.

Does this means that MMD can not be used with MT ?

Should I give up ?

Thank your for your help,

Stephane.

I use MMD on my website, which is managed through MT. It was rather
tricky to get it to work initially, and unfortunately I couldn't find a
particular reason why. Sort of a "huh - it works today but didn't work
yesterday" sort of thing....

Hi Fletcher,

In my particular case, things are much more specific :

I know why it fails; well, logs told me why, even I could not solve
the issue once for all :

First I needed to copy ASCIIMathML.pm in a foler listed in the @INC
string.
Then MultiMarkdown started to work and even appeared in the scroll
list.

But others .pl scripts kept failing, with the error : "It appears
MultiMarkdown is now installed..." or something like that...

Then I checked the code, and I discovered that this error was caused
by the fact that the MultiMarkdown folder had to be moved in specific
folder on the system (in my case I created a folder like /usr/share/
multimarkdown).

Unfortunately, the script called Support.pm generates an error 500 now
on the MT !!

That is all I could try today ...

All I need in fact is a user friendly editor to let my co-workers edit
easily LaTeX code.
is there another software I could use in case I could not get MT do
the job ?

Any suggestion welcomed.

Thank you,

Stéphane.

Actually, I have not updated my MT installation to use the new and
"improved" MMD. I suppose there could be some hidden issues in there.

I'll try and look into this soon. I wanted to update my MT installation
anyways..

I'm not sure of alternatives.
