I recently discovered the Text::ASCIIMathML perl module at CPAN:

<http://search.cpan.org/~nodine/Text-ASCIIMathML-0.5/>

When I first implemented MathML support, I looked for a Perl
solution, but the best I could find was a PHP script. Now, I am
migrating MultiMarkdown to use the Perl module, rather than an
external PHP script. This offers several advantages, most
importantly that the math support is built into the MultiMarkdown
script, rather than run as a separate program.

This means that I have been able to add ASCIIMath and MathML support
to my web site (an Oddmuse wiki running MultiMarkdown). To see an
example, check out:

or

I am not ready to release version 2.0.b4 yet, but I have enclosed my
current working copies for anyone who is interested.

You need to put the ASCIIMathML.pm file in MultiMarkdown/bin.

I have attached the new version of MMD, as well as new versions of
some of the supporting files to work with the subtle changes in
syntax and work flow.

I went to the museum where they had all the heads and arms from
the statues that are in all the other museums.
