Thursday Looks Good Again!

Ok, this Thursday doesn't look like you will need the sunblock, but hey It does look like a lot of new snow! Check out the forecast!

If you want old out for sunshine then maybe wait till Friday. Hopefully I will be skiing off the back side of Mt Bachelor on Friday in the sunshine as I plan on skiing Meadows on Thursday then going directly to Bend form there. George, you've been pretty quiet this week. What do you say? Are you up for Thursday? Any others??? Come on now, don't be shy!

Bachelor?  …Ski Bachelor on Friday?  

Did you say fresh pow and sunshine? Isn't Bachelor the only mountain in OR where you can drop down from summit and ski anywhere 360 degrees around the mountain?

Bachelor is NOT the only mountain where you can ski 360 degrees.  In fact, if you try to ski 360º at Mt Bachelor, you might get stuck on a road where you might have to walk for an hour or two to get back to the lifts.   Fortunately, there are ropes around the mountain that tell you when you need to start traversing back.  I know at least one of our club members who skied past the rope!

 

But at Hoodoo, you can definitely ski 360º around the mountain, and there is always a groomed road at the very bottom that will pick you up and carry you pretty fast to the lifts.  In other words, you can ski the WHOLE mountain at Hoodoo, not just to some rope half way up the mountain.
