Rotary Ski Day Monday

Hey Everyone,

 

Rotary Ski Day is this Monday, Jan 21st (MLK Day) at Meadows.  Anyone going up?  Conditions are supposed to stay sunny through the first part of next week.  Only $10 from 2-9 (or $15 at Meadows on Monday)!   I don't have to play hooky cause I have the day off.  More info:

Seriously?  No takers for this great fundraising event?  George? Emilio?

You can buy online until noon, and Hillcrest Sports will be selling tix for $10 all day today, if you change your mind.  Otherwise, $15 at Meadows.

Well, I'm headed up. Will keep my ears on 2-way radio channel 6:19.  Call me if you go.  It is a beautiful spring sunny day up there! Maybe I'll run into Ski Guy...

How'd you get my picture (in my dreams at least)? I should have
responded at least out of courtesy. I went up yesterday, but had my
two little ladies with me. With them and the gear, we were out of
seats. It was a good day, even if a bit crowded.

Sandra,  Great picture of the “Ski Guy” you sent us to promote the $10 Rotary day at Meadows. I hope the event was a success. I hope you ran into Ski Guy!!!

 

The reason you didn’t hear from me or from a bunch of other people is that 39 of us were on the Idaho trip to Brundage Mt. and Tamarack.  On MLK Day (Monday), we were returning to Portland after skiing one last day at Anthony Lakes.

 

To their credit, some people remembered the Rotary Day on the bus. In fact, someone even suggested that we swing by Mt. Hood Meadows on the way home.  But, by the time we got to Hood River, it was already around 8 pm, and we were all dead tired from three days of skiing and from the long bus ride.

Hi everyone,
Judging from the big crowd of people and full parking lots, Rotary day was a success!  Meadows had some problems issuing tickets at the overflow lot but other than that things seemed to be fine.  Never ran into Ski Guy and my radio went dead so couldn't call for other Mtn Highers.  Meadows definitely needs new snow, so Ullr needs a wake up call.
