Can't uninstall Git version 1.7.7.1-preview20111027

Hi there,

I need to uninstall git and reinstall it in a different directory.
When I uninstall (Control Panel > Uninstall a program) I am getting
the following error:
"Runtime Error (at 18:1292): Could not call proc".

How can I fix this? or can you give me instructions on how to manually
uninstall eg are there registry keys to delete? environment variables
to fix etc...)

Machine: Windows Server 2008 x64
Git version: Git version 1.7.7.1-preview20111027

There was a thread, either here or on g...@vger.kernel.org , which said that
the trick was to install a newer / older version, and then it's uninstall
would then work.

This fixes the "Runtime Error (at 18:1292): Could not call proc." as

Where do I have the option to do this? I am not seeing it during the
install.
