Hi everyone... Groups in our western MN counties should be ready for
spotter activation between 6 pm and 8 pm. The storms will move east and
reach the Wisconsin border probably around Midnight, then Chippewa Falls
-Eau Claire areas between 1 am and 3 am.
Some of the high-resolution radar models are suggesting that the complex
will transition from hail storms to a widespread area of damaging wind
storms. In other words, damaging winds may be possible in eastern and south
central MN after 9 or 10 pm, and after 11 pm or Midnight in western WI.
A severe thunderstorm watch is likely for parts of central and southern MN
after 6 pm. We're not sure yet how far east it would extend. As usual,
things can (and probably will) change.
