Subject: Update for tonights weather and Skywarn Activation
I've included E-mails from both Jim and Todd as we look for time
frames and the type of weather events that are expected tonight.    We
will also have posts and updates on the Metro Skywarn Facebook Group.

Thanks
REK

As some of you may know...a Severe Thunderstorm watch is now in effect
for the entire CWA except for a few eastern counties of WI. The
scenario  mentioned this morning is still pretty much on target, with
storms  developing in west central MN between 4-5 pm and then tracking
east.  K0MPX will be active by about 5 pm. Skywarn groups in west
central MN  should prepare for activation shortly, and groups farther
east during  the evening.

Jim Richardson

A severe Thunderstorm Watch was recently issued for most of the area until 11pm.
MPX has also put out a multimedia briefing: K0MPX is currently
expecting to staff radios around 5-5:30pm for this activation as
storms move generally to the East.  The main threats will be wind and
hail. For updated products regarding the watch and additional updates,
Regards,John Wetter
NWS Skywarn Coordinator
