Subject: Spotters in central and Southern MN should be ready for activations this afternoon

There is currently a warning out for the area right around the intersection
of Nicollet/Sibley/Renville counties. We are monitoring the radios at this
time.

Also, there is a storm in southeastern Yellow Medicine county as well, which
we may need to warn shortly as it appears to be increasing in intensity near
the intersection of Yellow Medicine and Redwood county. We are currently
monitoring the Redwood Falls repeater as well via echo link.

Skywarn organizations in central and Southern MN should be ready for
activations this afternoon. As storms move to the east, we expect them to
weaken toward late afternoon, so the threat doesn't appear to be a
long-duration one, though with many people outdoors, it is still important
to get whatever reports we can.

A reminder of what organizations we're recommending activation for:

After this afternoon, our attention turns to tomorrow, which is seeing a
heightened risk in the latest model runs... More on that tonight/tomorrow.
