Hi Everyone.
The Beach Olympics is next weekend. I just noticed it on an email this morning.
Can we pull a tournament together to benefit the Maine Special Olympics? I'll
do all the work, if you all will send a few emails and provide input as to
formats.
I am thinking, 2 days. Saturday, 4s and 6s. Co-Ed.
Sunday, 2s. Men's and Women's.
I know many of you are going out of town for the tournament in Newport, no problem. You can help by
spreading the word and getting some corporate sponsors. Players will be
encouraged to get as much moola as they can scrape together. Individually or as
a team. I'll get some prizes together for "MOST MOOLA". I have a few
ideas for vendors from the surf shop. I'll work on it tomorrow (in my spare
time, lol).
Those of you who have been poo-poo-ing everyone else's lack of organizational
skills in running leagues and tournaments... BUCK UP! Let's see what you got!
I spoke to the chairman of Maine Special Olympics and they're hurting for
events. LETS GO! Get the word out.
Please help this worthy cause, ALL PROCEEDS FORM THIS TOURNEY WILL BENEFIT
MAINE SPECIAL OLYMPICS.
