I recommend Lynda.com as well.  It cost money, but for $25, you can get a darn good education!

I second Lynda.com. That was where I went when I was first learning css.

I think CSS-tricks.com is great place to get started in some short CSS tutorials. Then for more in depth learning I prefer: tutsplus.com codeschool.com which are both paid options but really nothing compared to a college course and the learning is light years beyond a formal college class. 

If you can't do those the best free option in my mind is codecademy.com
