ok, this scrolled, the music play, a few of the pics displayed. a
majority of the images were broken icons. however when clicked a menu
pops ups to either save, view , etc. selecting 'view image' displays the
correct image in the browser and not inline. even the minus sign at the
beginning is a broken icon. smonk1.0, w2k, midi played with cresmax.

On 23/02/2007 13:47, CET - what odd quirk of fate caused bc to generate
the following:? :

replying here because.... :-( :-( :-(

1) couldn't "reply" to Jan's post - the composer came up as with the
"write" function - summat drastically wrong there!
2) the OP called up that "require server log-in" box again... had that
several times now!
3) as bc says, the pics were "broken" on first opening
4) the d/l time is enormous - but, re-opening the post a couple of times
got more and more pics each time.
5) NO audio here, on TB 1.5.0.9

Nope, same result, I still get the password prompt.
This really looks like a server problem.

Well, it's definitely a server problem, but I don't know what specifically causes it.
I still get the password prompt on this post.
Perhaps it's the large content, don't know.

Joe,

it is the multimedia content that is causing the password and login
prompts by the server. Somebody has made a configuration change to make
this a text based newsgroup.

Where is the newsgroup moderator?????????????????????????????????????????//

Well, at least there's a name and no "ghost deleter";-)

Let's wait and see what Deb, Gerv and so on are going to do about these
long existing problems.

Hi Dennis,

This was mostly a very old post, dressed up in a new js script and some
more pics.

Maybe the old part was the reason............<G>
