Backing up favorites and emails?

I bought a new computer with W7. Since no email program is included, I installed thunderbird. I used to regularly backup my favorites and emails, but I can't even figure out where thunderbird stores them. Where are they? Thanks.

When replying below a quote, TB3 gives you a blank line, but places the cursor in that blank line, immediately below the quote. Is this a known bug? Replying above quote doesn't have that problem.

I just bought a netbook that connects to my DSL router via WLAN (802.11b/g). Even though the signal strength indicator in Windows 7 shows all bars (i.e., "excellent"), Thunderbird[1] loads my IMAP e-mails slower than I can remember my modem used to be 15 years ago. Request receipts on a per addressee basis?

Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 Windows XP Pro SP3 I can configure Thunderbird to request a receipt for all messages, or request a receipt for an individual message as I'm composing it, but I don't see any way to mark a specific entry in my address book so that I always request receipts for messages sent to it.... more »

Lightning Calendar disappeared

I noticed this morning that the Lightning calendar (Ver 0.9) was missing from my Thunderbird email program (V2.0.0.23). It was there yesterday I no longer have the calendar icon beneath my listing of email folders. And, Lightning no longer appears in the Thunderbird Options screen. Did the usual restart to no avail. Error closing Thunderbird 3

I'm getting this error occasionally when I close Thunderbird 3 I suspect it began to happen after I installed Google Desktop, the thing is, I don't want it uninstalled. Do you think this could be a bug and maybe it could be fixed? the error [link]

Quicknote plugin

I had been using the Quicknote 0.6.0.4 addon in TB2.0 and Firefox. This gave me access to the same notes whether I was browsing the web or reviewing email and newsgroups. misdirected emails--addressbook problem? TB3

Some people in my address book are receiving emails that I sent, but not to them. They get the proper email, but it was sent to someone else as well. My system has a firewall, all virus software is up to date and runs often. It's not everyone in my address book, just what seems to be a random other, every once in a while.
