Shared Thunderbird Folders Apparently Trashed by Thunderbird 3 Beta 4

I've been running Fedora since before it was Fedora. It's my main file server and holds my Thunderbird mailboxes. These mailbox folders are shared between various Thunderbird clients on Windows, Linux, and Mac computers. No matter which computer I use, I can get to Thunderbird and check my mail. I am trying this new release and have figured out how to keep virtually all the original layout and tool bars, but since I have installed the originals in the toolbar above, how can I get rid of the additional header like area when in the read mail mode? Thanks..

Lost inbox

My Thunderbird started acting funny, and after I compacted the folder, I found that I had lost all inbox mail from 5/8/08 until 11/19/09. I have looked through my profile, and found the current inbox, which is small, and then a much larger inbox that seems to be a back up. It was in a separate folder, and dated 10/29/09. Cannot send to

Dear all For some time now, I cannot click on a file to send it to a mail recipient. I have to open up Thunderbird and write message and then click attach. I check the send to settings, and found that the open with was set to unknown application I changed this to Mozilla Thuderbird but it still won't work.... more »

Every time I access a newsgroup Thunderbird asks me if I want to subscribe. This is despite the fact that I'm already subscribed. I'm running v2.0.0.23. Jay

I had one user wrong fixbrokenamerica doesnot work with the server But brokenamerica does work with the smtp server 3 character difference . But both work in Webmail I gave up after 3 days of trying to figure it out

xlsx attachment opened as zip file?

Hi there, When opening a xlsx file, TB doens't seem to understand what it is doing. Thinks its a zip file... See picture. [link] Does anybody know how to avoid this ? Cheers, B.

Is there an add-on for searcing, filtering, and/or smart mailboxes that does full Boolean searches? Or, better yet, Boolean + regular expressions?
