UTF-8 attachments fail

V2.0.0.23 does not pass either subject lines or message bodies which not only trashes the attachments but also Enigmail. Is there a workaround other than using just a-z and 0-9?? TIA

I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 on Windows 7 - 64 bit. When I tag a message as important, it's gone next time I load Firefox. I'm usimg IMAP to cotse.net

Any way to filter messages the old way?

I liked a lot being able to type a filter, and having it progressivly filter the displayed messages. Is there any way to get this behavior in Thunderbird 3? I use it a lot for my IMAP accounts.

I CANNOT OPEN TBIRD

As soon as I try to open tbird, it says "Thunderbird is already running, but it not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Thunderbird process, or restart your system". I have tried restarting my computer several times, and it keeps giving the same reading all the time. Any help please ?... more »

Hi All. I recently upgraded from Thunderbird 2 to Thunderbird 3. I am running XP (SP2) and installed v3 via the update function in v2 (therefore followed the default installation processes). Emacs external editor for Tbird

Has any of you successfully gotten emacsclientw.exe to work with Tbird. I set exteditor.default.editor to C:\emacs\bin\emacsclientw.exe -n "%1" in about.config but when I call the external editor from within Tbird another instance of Emacs is opened rather than the server. Does an association have to be made with .eml suffix or is something else going... more »

Collapsing branches of threads

When threads grow large, split into sub-threads (i.e. branches) or divert from the OP I'd like to be able to collapse entire branches. TB doesn't support that. Is there an add-on that offers this feature? Couldn't find one on addons.mozilla.org... Cheers, Marcel

Color of "Unread" folders in TB3

In Thunderbird 3, the color of unread folders is a fairly light blue. Once a folder is selected, the text turns to bold black. Is there some way to change the color of the unread folder - I find the light blue somewhat difficult to read and certainly not as obvious as the bold black (the default in TB2).
