For as long as I can remember I've been seeing the 'Click here to remove
all expired articles' link show up when reading this newsgroup and whenever
I've used it, it always seemed to work. Now I find that cancelled lunatic
ravings remain stubbornly in place no matter what I do. Has some function
in TB changed? Server software? I don't recall changing any of my settings,
just upgraded TB from version-to-version as they became available.

From another thread I read the linked bugs, seems a fix will be in TB 13.

Does the "Delete" key fail to delete them?

"Delete" may come disabled when TB is first installed;
it requires a special setting to enable it and gain the freedom
to delete junk at any time.

I can't find the other thread nor any bugs about this issue. Can you
post a link to either the thread or the bugs?

Thanks in advance,

I believe this is the bug report Ron was referring to:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=727951
