Is there a way to set TB to collapse all threads automatically when
leaving the news group?

AFAIK, no.

Curious: why do want to collapse the threads wen you leave an NG? So's
they'll be collapsed next time to open that NG?

Yes that's the idea. At present I am using the View, Threads, Collapse
all threads method. Saves scrolling <g>

To collapse all threads, just press the backslash (\) key.

Where can I find a list of all such keyboard shortcuts? It appears
likely
that I need items from such a list that don't appear anywhere on the
pull-down menus.
