Normally I read messages in "preview pane", summary mode. Sometimes I
need to open the message in a bigger tab, and TB will begin reloading
the feed in web page mode. If I am offline, it will display error page.
How can I prevent TB from trying to load the web and display the summary
that it already has?

First, in View > Feed Message Body as ... make sure 'Summary' is
checked. Then download all messages before going offline.

Yes, I always see "summary" - those do not provide full text feed I will
not subscribe through TB - And the summary has already downloaded,
because I can read them offline in "preview pane", but they do not
display in separate tab.

In 'View' does changing 'Simple HTML' to 'Original HTML' make any
difference?

What version of TB are you using, BTW?

Here is the definitive guide to viewing feed messages.

1. The summary v. webpage choice is best made for an individual feed
folder based on what is published. The option is a checkbox in the
Subscribe dialog for the feed url's folder (opened by right click
contextmenu). The Subscribe dialog pref is available to be set when the
folder is selected, as it applies to all urls subscribed to the folder.
NOTE: a feed folder may have 0, 1, or more than one url subscription(s)
attached to it. They are listed only in the Subscribe dialog.

2. Upon initial subscribe of a feed url, the default for the account is
used. Unless changed in Account Settings, the account default is to
show web page.

3. The global override of summary v. web page is found in View->Feed
Message Body as->[Web Page|Summary|Default Format], and takes precedence
over any individual folder setting and across multiple feed accounts.
Default Format means the Subscribe dialog setting for the folder. This
menu option is only visible if a feed account or folder is selected in
folderpane.

4. The View->Feed Message Body as->[HTML Settings] do not apply
differently for feeds than they do for mail. Whatever render option is
set for mail is also used for the feed summary (and must be set with a
mail folder selected). The setting does not apply at all to web pages.
NOTE: Javascript will run in feeds loaded as web pages. The pref is
javascript.enabled and defaults to true. Unexpected behavior may result
if the publisher opens popups or redirects the url, as Tb does not have
full browser functionality and may send the request on to the default
browser.

5. A feed message may be Opened in two ways.
a.) An <enter> or double click on an item in the threadpane message list:
Behavior is governed by Message->Open Feed Message->[Web
Page|Summary|Toggle in message pane] menu item. This menu is visible
and enabled *only* if a feed message is actually selected (as with
mail). If Web Page or Summary is selected, the message is opened in a
Window or Tab (per the setting in Options|Preferences->Advanced->
Reading&Display).

b.) A right click context menu on the item:
The summary or web page is opened (based on the preference as described
in #3 above) in the selected location (Window, Tab, Conversation).

6. Advanced preferences.
a.) The preference rss.show.content-base may be set to 3 (no UI, set by
Message->Open Feed Message for other options) to load the message's web
page in the default browser, on Open as described in #5a. above.
b.) For the power user, the pref rss.message.loadWebPageOnSelect may be
set to 1 (no UI, default is 0 - no action). This will load the
message's web page in the default browser upon selecting the message in
the threadpane list.
NOTE: for #6b. the message pane must be open (a bug).
NOTE: there is a loss of focus in Tb when loading a link in an external
browser (windows at least).

Thank you for the thorough description. Such an unexpected option, but
very reasonable.
