I know this is not the right place to ask, but ... my provider and my
university have discontinued their usenet newsgroups. I still can access
this group (obviously !) but I need to access groups like sci.math, etc...
Any idea, apart from going web?

TIA

Daniel

If you need something better people often recommend individual net for
€10 a year:
http://www.individual.net/

I used to use aioe.org, but switched to news.eternal-september.org
(which was previously Motzarella.org) as my backup provider.

Sure. Check into Giganews. Very low prices, great retention, and VERY
reliable.

I think you'll have to bite the bullet and pay for a Usenet service. I
use Newshosting, it's $10 a month for the basic service, I haven't
reached the download limit yet (I subscribe to transport and gardening
picture groups). Giganews also has a good rep, and costs about the same.

cheers,
wolf k.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. I finally settled on

news.eternal-september.org

which seems to be working fine. That is, if you don't forget to refresh the subscribe window !!!
