I recently installed a Debian security update of Icedove and am now
running "icedove 2.0.0.22-0lenny1).

And have lost several features on which I have come to rely; e.g.

1.
I can no longer open listed emails by just "clicking"; instead, I have
to "open the message in a new window"; and

2.
I have received an email attachment that was identified as
"ForwardedMessage.eml". But I cannot read this attachment in the
updated version of "icedove". The "file" command identifies this file
as :
"ForwardedMessage.eml: ASCII mail text"; and - directly related

3.
I can edit and remove "Download Actions" for certain types of files.
But how can I add to the recognized file types?

I note that Debian recommends the installation of:
"icedove-gnome-support (= 2.0.0.22-0lenny1"

Will this help - even if I do not use the Gnome desktop.

All advice will be gratefully received.

This is the wrong place to ask for help with IceDove.
IceDove is not a Mozilla product and is not supported by Mozilla.
Support for IceDove comes solely from Debian.

If you want help from here, use ThunderBird.

Thank you.

I am a "new arrival". I thought that Thunderbird and IceDove were
identical.
