Used to be that as I typed things into the search bar in the upper right
corner, messages not fitting the search terms were filtered away in the
Header pane until I found what I want. That was fast, that was easy, it
gave results.
This method, not so good. At least with my gmail IMAP Inbox. Search finds
nothing newer than mid-December. I've Rebuilt the folder's index, no help.
I don't want to download all the copies of all my emails so I'm staying
away from Synchronizing the folder. I don't work offline.

The search tool in Tb3 combined the original search with the new Global
search. Look in the drop down and You can pick the old search. With the
Beta4 there were two search tools when the Global search finally got it's
User interface. As work progressed to the release the tools were combined.

Hi Ron,
The search box dropdown has several options, but none of them are jumping
off the screen as the old search tool.
Oh wait -- I found it. The simple searches like "From" or "Subject" work
just peachy. Wait a minute -- they all work in Olde Style. How does one
activate the newer style that opens a new tab and offers more filters?

Is there a way to do Quick Search for subject, from, recipient, OR
body?
I haven't explored all the options, but that little black triangle next
to the magnifying glass icon should list all the options.
