Can anyone advise on a problem that I have with Thunderbird V 3?

Since I changed from version 2 my mouse refuses to let me paste from
emails, neither addresses or messages.
It does paste the information that was cut/copied previously from
another application (and the cut works)it just won't paste it

Cut and paste works fine with other applications.
I have tried another mouse (with a USB connection)without success.
I am using XP.

My laptop works fine with thunderbird without a problem
I tried removing version 3 and reinstalling but it made no difference

I am now at a loss as to what to try

Any help would be much appreciated
Roger

Do you have any clipboard related extension ( auto-copy ) installed in Tb?
Do you experience same issue if you start Tb in safe mode?

Thanks for the advice, safe mode unfortunately makes no difference
I have no clipboard extensions
I am currently having to save the email as html and then cut from that
file, not exactly efficient :-)

Do the key commands Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v work to copy and paste?

No Cntrl+C and Cntrl+v do not work, I had tried that as a temporary fix
I have now reverted to version 2 on the problem computer, and it works
fine, as I don't need any of the new features I will stick with that
for now
Thanks for all the suggestions
Roger
