Importing a profile from a different computer

I am using SeaMonkey 2.0 and have had very few problems except for the one regarding copying and pasting text. I have read comments about McAfee (which I have) and their "site adviser," but I do not have that installed. At any rate, the copying/pasting problem is so random that I can live with it.... more »

Server name focus

Default mail server... Empty messages in TRASH (ctrl-f,y), toggle to another app. then back to SM Mail. The default mail server name is now underlined, and has focus. Very minor, but annoying. This did not occur in SM 1.x. Workaround?

Not Recognizing a Fragment within a URI

This morning, SeaMonkey 2 failed to recognize fragments within a URI. A fragment is the part just after the # character, which generally directs the browser to position the rendered page at a point within its content instead of at the top of the page. Seamonkey 2 and Googlebar

This may have been asked before, if so I missed the answer - and could not find it with a search. Is there an addon for Seamonkey 2 like Google Toolbar, Googlebar, Googlebar Lite, etc? Neither Google Toolbar, Googlebar nor Googlebat Lite will funtion / install in Seamonkey 2. Thanks, Chris

Adding Helper Applications

In previous versions 1.x.x one could add helper applications and MIME types. I don't see how to do this in SM 2. What am I missing?

I've subscribed to the feed for Seamonkey 2.0 addons and I keep waiting impatiently for updates to some of my favorite Firefox/Thunderbird addons. Some of the ones I'd like are Quote colors, Quote collapse (very good for reading newsgroups), image toolbar, extended statusbar, download statusbar and so on.... more »

SM2 not showing home page on opening

My home page is my bookmark file. Setting is for browser to open on home page. This has worked for years with multiple versions including SM2 until today. I changed to the following: show website icons aggressively look for website icons and always load website icons for bookmarks. After doing this and restarting, the browser opened with a blank page. file reading assignment?

Where in preferences or elsewhere do I tell SeaMonkey which program to use in opening a particular kind of file, i.e. .jpg, exe, doc, tef, ? I have tried the setting in preferences/helper applications but it makes no difference. w. sm 1.1.18 win xp, sp3
