Now that we're getting a better idea of what sumo is going to be like, I
tend to follow the lead of addons.mozilla.org. Even though AMO is a
website, it is not under websites; so that means sumo doesn't have to be
under websites as well. As long as the product is called
support.mozilla.com, I don't think people will have a problem finding it.

Sooooo...rename it, but don't move it. (IMO :-) )

imo, lets rename it and it should be fine.

For the record, MDC is its own product too, though has minimal components.
