I lately ( for a few weeks) get this message when I click on some hyperlinks
(but by far not all hyperlinks, but many)

"Connection Interrupted

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please
retry"

I am using Windows XP, Mozilla Firefox most recent version, a HP 4200+Ghz
CPU, and 3 GB RAM. The server is Comcast.net in the MD. area.

Any ideas?

I spent more than 30 minutes with Comcast. No fix.
Had me do the common things, like delete Cookies, previous web sites etc
etc.
That did not fix anything.

OK, then try a test profile and see if the problem continues
in that. Close FF, then click on the windows start button,
then run and enter:

firefox.exe -p

this will start the FF profile manager. Create a test
profile. Does the problem continue in that profile?

Yes, no difference. I created test profile and then tried. Same thing.

have you disabled your firewall, your antivirus checker, and
anything else running in the background?

Does it happen on all sites, or just some. If some, can you
post a link or two so someone can go and check it out.

Otherwise, I have no idea what the problem is. I still
think its an isp problem.

No, I have not disable AV or Firewall, since I always had that running in
the background before and do not want that exposure.

I does happen on some, not all. Maybe on 25 percent.

well, if you won't disable them, then I can't help you any
further.
