Hello everyone of the team:

You have made great contribution for communication.

I just installed instantbird.
I have visual disability. I, therefore, use JAWS, which is a text-to-screen reader application, to interact with my computer.
And I want to use instantbird to chat with my friends.
During installation, I was asked to provide a userid. So, I provide a person's email ID to which I wanted to send a message. But it asked for a password.
I do not know the password of the other party.

Is it necessary to know the password of the messsage-recipient?

Or I misunderstood the question from instantbird?

I am eager to use it.
Please advise.

Thank you in advance.

You are not asked any of these questions during installation. Once you
start the program, however, you must set up your user accounts. This
will ask you to choose a network (GTalk, Facebook, AIM, etc.) and then
you must provide a username and a password.

This is asking for your own password of your account. If you do not
provide one it will prompt you for it each time you start Instantbird.

I think you've misunderstood the question.
