Good afternoon,

I am trying to find an IM application with the features below. I searched your site but do not find any answers. If you would please reply back ASAP that would be great.

Notification: Is it possible for a new message to pop up in front of any open windows? I am not looking for a notification window but rather the actual message like in Simple Chat.

Sending: Does the "enter" key send the message? Also does the window disappear once you hit send and pop up (if available) once a new message come sin?

Sound: Is there a sound when a new message comes in?

Sleep Mode: Will the message "wake up" the computer when in sleep mode?

I have not used Simple Chat (nor ever heard of it), but there is an
option to have a notification pop up with the new message at the bottom
of the screen for inactive chat windows.

Yes.

No, this sounds very confusing. It could probably be done via an extension.

Yes, a sound plays when a message is received in a private chat or when
a directed message is received in a multi-user chat.

I don't think this is possible without a server intercepting the
messages and sending a WLAN signal to the computer that is asleep.

I'd suggest trying out Instantbird to see if it suits your needs, not
every feature of a program is going to be listed on the website.
Additionally, a lot of enjoying a program is how it feels, which can't
accurately be described in text.
