FF 3.5 Cross Domain XMLHttpRequest Problem
|
| |
I have an AJAX application running under FireFox that makes Cross- Domain XMLHttpRequests. Prior to FireFox 3.5, I was using the netscape.security.PrivilegeMan ager to enable the appropriate privilege. I was pleased to learn that FF 3.5 supports the W3C's proposed Access Control for Cross-Site Requests which provides... more »

Went with very few hitches and now mostly fine. FYI, extension compatibility is turned off. 1) Updated TabMixPlus with developers latest version 3.7.4pre.090516. Almost home, but not quite. But I always find myself without an easy way to type umlauts etc. on my English keyboard. Is there an easy way to do this? In fact, it is a convention to use ae, oe etc. (I think!) as a poor-mans... more »

Windows Vista 64, Firefox 3.5 When I view a video in Firefox that plays in Windows Media Player, the buttons controlling the video (like pause, rewind, change volume, etc.) do not appear in my Firefox browser. Therefore, I can't stop the video in the middle, or change/mute the volume. If I open the same page in Microsoft Internet Explorer, those buttons... more »

Problem with 3.5 and passwords solved.
|
| |
I wrote about a problem I was having with FF 3.5 and my passwords. Simply, they weren't showing up in the password list, and they wouldn't save, nor would they enter automatically. I solved the problem by deleting signons.sqlite. The only 'downside' to that is that signons3 hadn't updated in some time. I suspect I will find a few passwords that... more »
