Wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having with my browser.
Over the past week or so every time I reboot my pc and try to open my
browser I receive an error, 'abstract error #13820' and my browser doesn't
open. The only way to over come the problem seems to be to reinstall
Firefox, which is becoming rather annoying now to constantly have to
reinstall.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to solve it?

Thank you in advance.
Debbie

no idea but it makes an interesting google, all in french and russian.

I'd do a virus scan for starters, run spybot & adaware as well.

/Stop/ reinstalling Firefox - it has nothing to do with this and
possibly cause more problems.

sorry for my bad english.
you probably should try to reboot in safe mode and try to run Firefox,
just in order to see
if the firefox integrity had been touch. In fact there is no
informations about this trouble on the net.
you should try it, in first, to see if the error message is always
here

I had the same but I've just fixed it so: it's a malware. When you
start system press ctrl + del + alt go to processes and you will see
that your main browser (firefox, etc.) uses nearly 100% usage of
processor (they are 2 processes, every at about 49%). If you don't
have time to fix it you can easy stop this two and use normally your
browser, but the problem will surely come back every time you start
windows.

If you want to fix it and forget about it:
- don't reinstall browser - it gives nothing
- download and install free: Spybot - Search & Destroy e.g. from
http://www.spybot.com/en/download/index.html
start main program - check completely your system and delete all
that appear
- download hijack this from: http://www.hijackthis.de/ then check
system with saving log file. Copy log file to the page
www.hijackthis.de (at main page to textbox) and press analyze
- at page you will see which files are dangerous - select them in
program and press fix it.

The problem should not appear any more.
