2.0.0.6 and Status Bar Text ala JavaScript

I just noticed that FF 2.0.0.6 does not handle JavaScript trying to get custom text to display in the status bar. Same pages work with IE6 SP1 and current patches.

Even try our home page, URL below. Java script on all of the links.

What is your setting here ...
1. Go to Tools -> Options -> Content
2. To the right of "Enable JavaScript", click on "Advanced"
3. Under "Allow scripts to", is "Change status bar text" check-marked or not?

I would guess that your IE settings are not configured exactly the
same as your FFx settings.

FYI, there are differing opinions about whether this setting should
be turned on or off. See comments in this message in this NG, posted
3/4 of a day ago.

It was not checked... Hurray!

I wonder what changed that pref? I have never fussed with the default prefs for JavaScript.
