I expect you've had the problem for a while before reporting your problem.
Bookmark backups are for five days. Then can be restored very quickly )Dave Pyles reply).
I think your problem may be a corrupt localstore.rdf file preventing
you from updating bookmarks, extensions, toolbar or acting weird. See

Why do you like the Google Toolbar, does if provide anything you
don't have otherwise. Do you still have normal search bar.
You can move a search bar to the menu bar providing more room
for the search bar and for the location bar..

Have you tried uninstalling, and then installing both the Google
Toolbar, and NoScript? It may be there is some initialization that
needs to be done with the new version.

Thanks for your suggestion, Ron, but I did not just add NoScript, been
running it AND the Google Tool Bar successfully on the previous
version of FF prior to just switching to 3.5. With that switch, the
aforementioned blockage occurred. Checked the FF forum and there was
a post that the GTB/NS conflict had been resolved. Just commenting on

In your profile folder there is a folder called "bookmarkbackups" which
contains backups of your bookmarks created the last 5 times you closed
Firefox. You could try restoring from one of those backups just in case
your current bookmarks file is corrupted. Here's a link that will tell
you how to do that:

A couple comments/questions that may get you started on fixing the problem:
a) The bookmarks file is likely corrupted; but I have no idea about how
it might be rebuilt, apart from starting over. Have you gone into
Organize Bookmarks, and edited the bookmarks? Tedious, I know, but
probably worth while (if only to delete bookmarks - if you can't

Rows of Tabs

FF 3.5.x has many improvements over previous versions in handling tabs.
I am using 3.5.6 and I was wondering if there is built in capability
to have multiple rows of tabs. I have been using TMP for this very
desired feature, but TMP is getting quite bloated and I would be happy
to drop it if it is no longer necessary for tab rows.

Does Firefox have a maximum number of bookmarks it will handle? I'm
using 3.0.4, and it's beginning to behave peculiarly. Like, sometimes
