I installed a few days ago a clean copy, not over the top of 2.0.0.14, and started with about 8 seconds to start the program, now with 30 extensions it takes about 30 seconds -- not certain which are the culprits -- when there were 10, it still only took 10 seconds. Miles

Thanks Miles. I will try with all extensions disabled if that is possible. If it still takes ages to load maybe something wrong with my set-up. Off to give it a try now.

- cut down on your number of RSS feeds or - go to about:config and (quote from "Q)
"You can change the RSS update interval by setting browser.bookmarks.livemark_refresh_seconds to the number of seconds (integer value) between updates. They will still all update at once, just not as often. The pref doesn't exist by default, and they are updated every 3600 seconds (1 hour) by default."
I added the entry, set the integer at 1,000 hours and basically stopped using the "Live Bookmarks"
This approach seems to successfully prevent the issue from bothering you too much, although there is no real solution for the RSS loading/ start up issue at present.
And you will obviously lose RSS update functionality.

Thanks Steven. Only I don't use RSS feeds not Live Bookmarks. Dont even know what the latter is! Do have about 10 extensions. Maybe that's the problem???
