Hi all,

What will be the future of ie tab in firefox 3.6 ?
As i see it is not supported any more ?
Is there any alternative ?
There are sites, i can not access with firefox alone.

Thanks in advance,
David

Search for Coral IE Tab. It even supports Adblock Plus while in an IE tab.

Just tried it, and it seems to work fine.

Alas, AFAICS it's missing one feature, as was the case with IE Tab:

No way to change font size for tired old eyes (IE itself responds to
CTRL +/-).

If you have a scroll wheel mouse, try Ctrl while scrolling.

Thanks, but no joy - does that work for you?

Yes, it does, in both Firefox tabs and Coral IE tabs within Fx. Ctrl
scrolling works in both directions but Ctrl +/- does nothing for me.

Hmmm, works for me using Vista HP in Fx 3.5.7 tabs AND in IE 8 tabs, but
NOT in Coral IE tabs within Fx (with or without disabling Tab Mix Plus
and MouseZoom, and updating to MS Intellipoint 7.0).

Sounds like a pref setting of some type. All thoughts aprreciated!

I do not use IE Tab, but...
Did you try Ctrl+Mouse wheel

MouseZoom
Will allow you to zoom strictly with the mouse,
hold right button + Scroll (similar to Ctrl++ / Ctrl+-)
hold right button + click left button to return to normal (Like ctrl+0)

"Colorzilla" extension has a zoom feature in it, and with Firefox 3 it is tied into
Firefox, I think. Always wondered why it had zoom now see it was
to make color selection/sample easier from a bigger target. So you might try
install or uninstall whichever is opposite of what you have.

Thanks, David, but see my discussion in this thread with KristleBawl,
who can make Coral IE zoom while I can't. I'd prefer to pursue the
reason for that rather than playing with still another extension.

BTW, the author of Coral IE Tab seems receptive to suggestions, so I've
emailed him about this.

I think you're mainly trying to use keyboard shortcuts, but as far as the
mouse goes Firefox used to scroll a full page up or down but was
change to many 14 lines, see what you have for

browser.mousewheel.* options in

http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries

Thanks, David - I'd looked at those, which AFAICS were set properly (as
confirmed by the fact that CTRL+mousewheel works properly in Fx tabs as
I noted).

But unfortunately it doesn't work too well with Microsoft Update on my
XP machine, and IE Tab does.

Uncheck the Support Adblock Plus box on Settings to get MS Updates to work.

Ok, thanks for the tip I'll have to try that next time I'm on the XP box.

I tried Corel IE Tab and it did not work correctly for me so went back
to using IE Tab only. I'm using Firefix 3.5.7

Someone else said that you might have to disable Adblock Plus to get it
to work on some sites, so if that applies to you.....

Probably because Coral IE Tab is made for 3.6 and later....
Works great here.

Works fine here with 3.5.7. Some people have reported problems with the
Adblock Plus support, but I haven't ran into that yet. And I don't
think that would make a difference whether you were using 3.5.7 or 3.6.
That sounds more like a web page design.
