BUT impossible to remove Master password without the old Master
password???? I don't understand that kind of logic?
If somebody may help me? I reinstall the new version of Firefox... It
seem he found a old password somewhere... I still don't have access to
remove the master!
Thank You,
Aman
first, until you provide your previous password , you can't reset your master
password . Please keep it mind that master password keeps your stored password
protected from unauthorized use. So until you remember your old master password
you can't change it.
"It seem he found a old password somewhere" - it's because you are using your
old profile. create a new profile and start with it.
How to create a new profile : Start > Run . Type exactly this "firefox.exe"
-profilemanager
try this: Close FF. Then using your file manager, locate the FF
profile. Inside you will find 2 files -- signons.txt and key3.db. If
you don't see a signons.txt, then look for the 8 digit file that ends
in an "s" such as 12345678.s. Once found, delete them. Does this
work now?
to locate your FF profile you can read this:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit#profile
but if you're using windows, then you must read this first:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/hiddenfiles.mspx
