When I view a video in Firefox that plays in Windows Media Player, the
buttons controlling the video (like pause, rewind, change volume,
etc.) do not appear in my Firefox browser. Therefore, I can't stop the
video in the middle, or change/mute the volume.
If I open the same page in Microsoft Internet Explorer, those buttons
appear.

How do I fix this?

Switching to XP SP2 compatibility mode seems to work (the buttons
appear) when I try the Streaming Quicktime Movie, but still not when I
try the Embedded QuickTime Move.
I am unable to replicate your statement "or figure out where the
controls are supposed to be as they seem to still work even if you
can't see them." I can't click anywhere and get buttons to work.
Right-clicking doesn't do anything either.
Any other suggestions?
