Hi,
I tried the procedure of Locking Mozilla Settings from the blog, to
lock "Show password" and it worked fine in firefox 2.0
http://ilias.ca/blog/2005/03/locking-mozilla-firefox-settings/

But when i tried the same in firefox 1.5, its not working.
After adding the line, pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
to all.js.
Without mozilla.cfg in /usr/lib/firefox/ it shows an error, which
means that its trying to access it.

But the content encoded
lockPref("pref.privacy.disable_button.view_passwords", true);
doesn't work.

Can anyone help me reg this issue

Possibly that feature was introduced in FF 2 and that is the reason it will not work with FF 1.5. Suggest you migrate to current builds of FF.

similarly, as per the article

to disable the show password is not working for FF1.5 (though it has
been mentioned for FF1.0)

Any Idea to make it work in FF1.5 using that procedure??
