These posts seem to come at least once or twice every week or so.
Everyone knows there are places where Chrome shines and Firefox could
use some work. IMHO, constantly pointing it out doesn't really do any
good. If you want what Chrome offers, use Chrome. If you want to help
make Firefox better, jump in and do so. How can you do that?
1. Use Firefox and file bug reports when things go wrong.
2. Make suggestions on the development lists and help influence the
future of Firefox.
3. Help new users find the goodness of Firefox that they may have
missed. Also, don't forget to help previous users who may have used
Firefox in 'the bad old days' to educate themselves on how much better
the browser has become.
These are some concrete ways you can help make Firefox better. Pointing
out how far behind Chrome it is really doesn't do anything except push
people away from the browser and towards Chrome. IMHO, there are some
very good reasons to use Firefox over Chrome and, while Firefox isn't as
'glitzy' as Chrome is, it's all that most people actually need.
I'm not trying to be harsh here. But, really, if people are so enamored
by Chrome and there are features they just can't live without, go to
Chrome. Otherwise, help make Firefox better!
