add-ons and FF 9

Perhaps someone can confirm this but most of
my add-ons are disabled and installing others
from the Firefox website is unsuccessful.

All of my addon were either automatically updated or did not need
changing from FF 8 to FF9.

With TB 9 there was an initial problem with Lightning, but it updated a
couple of minutes after the upgrade. Then with have the old addons
that I have to make the changes to update.

I thought you said all of them were either updated, or didn't need it.
So what old add-ons need changes?

My only add-on which is currently disabled is AVG Safe Search, and it
has been disabled for many versions of Firefox.

First, make sure your add-ons are up to date. There are instructions at
<http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Add-ons%20are%20disabled%20after%20updating%20Firefox>

Hi,

Already read all of those. Something buggy is keeping
FF9 from installing any new add-ons.

We'll need some more info about your Firefox setup. Go to
Help-->Troubleshooting_Information, then click [Copy all to Clipboard].
Open a reply to this post, and go to Edit-->Paste to paste the info from
your Troubleshooting Information page.
