I had been a big fan of Firefox and has been using it for a while. I
didnt come across any problems until today.
I was browing the net, I dont know what happened. I got a message in a
pop up window with this message "USE INTERNET EXPLORER YOU DOPE - I
DONT HATE MOZILLA BUT USE IE OR ELSE...." and it shut down.
I tried to launch firefox again, but this is the message I am getting.
Then I thought of unistalling, but i am unable to do so as this
message keeps poping up.
I had been using the latest version of firefox..well, hope this
message will help you fix this and I can find some solution to the
problem I mentioned above.
Here is the screenshot of the message.

Sounds like a prank played by some site you visited. (Can you give a URL of
the last pages you had visited just before the message popped up?)
If you want that kind of thing never to happen, you may disable javascript,
but there are other drawbacks to that: after all, there are some legit uses to
the language...
If this thing now pops up every time, you may want to start Firefox in Safe
Mode and take a good look at the "problematic extensions" page --

Hi Tony
Well, I dont remember the last page which I opened. I was doing a lot
of stuff..and i am unable to recollect which was the last site I
visited.
I cleared the all the temp files and restarted the system and the
problem existed.
Well, I never came such a thing before with firefox.
This problem was so buggy..i couldnt even open the firefox folder in
the program files. When I opened the folder it pop ups that message
and gets closed. It was the same when I tried to re-install firefox.
Anyhow I fixed it by restoring the system to an earlier date. But I am
not sure about the thing that happened. But that thing need to be
fixed by firefox.
Well, I was using windows xp professional with sp2.

Hi Jan :)
Thanks for the link. I removed the virus.
Yes, it got infected when I was trying to access the flash disk.
Thanks to all..:) Cheers

I can't believe the number of times this and orkut comes up by people
who will not do first do a search on Google for a solution.
Of course if they can't type the message exactly as seen it won't
get search hits. The last link on the kb article has several examples
of the messages and has very explicit directions
http://www.freewebs.com/mgsujith/worm/remove.html
Incidentally it does not meet the definition of a worm.
