Web link tries to save instead of open

When I click a link on a web page to another standard web page, Firefox will
sometimes ask me where I want to save the file rather than just going there.
It does this intermittently, but once it starts it will do so for every link
until I press the ALT key (something I discovered by chance). This only
started after the version 3 upgrade. Is there a fix?

Depends on the web site you are visiting. Some websites want you to
download a file before you get the page. This is a means of getting you
to download trojans/back doors or mediums that show advertising
So on what urls are you getting this?
