Has FF forgotten the need to name bookmark separators or is it even
active? An example of the need is this: I kept 10 tabs open on one
subject - windshield anti-fog. Finally put it in the "temporary"
folder to get them out of the way. Currently there are several
folders in "temporary" requiring action, but cannot name the
separators as we could a few years ago. Is there yet a way to do this?

There was never a way to name separators. Maybe you're thinking of an
extension. :/
You can put the bookmarks in folders, and name the folders.
For instructions, visit

You can also put the tabs in a tab group and name the group.

I suspect he meant the previous labeled separators feature?

Perhaps not in Firefox, but in the Mozilla Suite and SeaMonkey there
sure was the ability to have separators and name them. You could even
style them using CSS.

There is a bug (or several) in Bugzilla about it but I don't remember
specifics other than it's one of those "this will never be fixed" deals.
