it completed, but did not ask for a restart. I restarted manually
though. since that I've re-installed but have not re-booted again.
i'll give that a try.

I thought it was because they workmen are rerouting all the phone/DSL
lines in my neighborhood, but I can connect with internet explorer, so
there is not a reason for it, This started once the auto update was
installed.

I'm having the same problem with Firefox 2.0.0.13 update.

i've now had FF open and working for about 30 minutes. only thing
that I can think of that's different is that I am no longer using
netvibes, which is my home page. i closed it as soon as I opened FF
and it's working so far. possibly netvibes has an issue.

Usually fixed next time you bring up Firefox. What Firefox does
is bring up it's own start page and your home page the first time
it comes up after an update. If it is not your correct homepage
when you come up again. Then place the page you want into
the only tab, and then use Tools, Options, Main, use current
pages as home page.

HTH,

Ugh, I let Firefox update itself last night. Now when I visit a site
that streams live video, FF crashes irregularly but frequently. I
haven't had any issues on any other sites yet.
