"A script on the page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding.
You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script
will complete."
If I click on continue, it tries again and comes up with the same
message. If I click on the Stop Script button, the email shows as
read, but I still can't read it.
When I click on any email that is unread, the status bar simple shows
done, but does not allow me to read the mail.
Anyone know what's going on?
Thanks
Bernie
p.s. Anyone know how to load the previous version and/or undo the
current update?
UPDATE
I just discovered that if I switch over to the IE Tab option, I can
still read my email with FireFox. Again, anyone know what's going on?
I've also just updated to Version 2.0.0.4 and have noticed significant
CPU usage with this release. On my computer (2.66Ghz Intel Process) ,
Firefox is consistently taking over 45% of CPU cycles.
I only have a couple of add-ons (FoxMark Bookmarks Syncronizer, and
Mozilla's Talkback.
Anyone else seeing high CPU utilization besides me?
Seems that the last couple of releases have taken many more CPU
cycles, with the latest version being the worst.
Am I correct that I can uninstall this release in the Control Panel
(Mozilla Firefox (2.0.0.4 does appear in the Add / Remove software
list), and it will revert to the previous release?
Thanks,
AMC
No, you are not correct!
I thought your idea was a good one so I went ahead and used Add/Remove
software to remove version 2.0.0.4. However, it also removed version
2.0.0.2. I then downloaded version 2.0.0.4 (apparently the only one I
can download) again, and everything is back to the way it was. All my
bookmarks and Add-Ons are all the same, and working.
In my case however, I still can't read my Gmail with the new version,
and I am having the same problem on another computer that was also
updated today. I suspect all of you out there who use Gmail can't
read your mail either.
Glad that the uninstall worked for you, but sorry you can't get back
to 2.0.0.3.
My CPU utilization with Firefox 2.0.0.4 has settled down. Don't know
what it was doing for the first hour after the 2.0.0.4 update to take
up so much processing power, but for the moment, CPU usage for Firefox
seems to be OK.
As far as not being able to read GMail, I just checked mine and don't
seem to have any problem with it.
Only suggestion that comes to mind is to look at what add-ons you have
installed. Perhaps one of those isn't quite 2.0.04 compatible and is
causing your GMail problems.
Good Luck.
Arbra
I can read my GMail account just fine, using FF 2.0.0.4 on WinXP Home SP2.
Have you tried FF Safe Mode?
Start -> All Programs -> Mozilla Firefox -> Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)

In firefox , goto Tools>Options>Privacy.
Clear Cookies and cache .
Also make it sure that at Content tab JavaScript is enabled.
Restart Firefox and try to login to Gmail.
here is the problem and solution discussed at length
your problem might be related to some other extension then in my case
addblockplus but paralles will be most likely the same
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=549955
This was definitely the problem with my setup. I note that
uninstalling Adblock Plus automatically removes the {d10d...} folder
from extensions, but the settings are saved somewhere else, because
reinstalling it lets it remember settings. Putting an exception for
gmail within Adblock Plus does solve the problem. ...and I spent
hours messing with Java trying to figure out how it might have caused
the problem.
I also noticed that I was not able to post on this unless I disabled
Adblock Plus for groups.google.com
Funny, because I think this might have been a problem before, though
hadn't realized it at the time.
I got a few reports that a filter in Filterset.G is causing issues
with GMail. Please see http://adblockplus.org/en/faq_project#filterset.g
regarding that.

Since this update, I cannot post to any communities using
Greatestjournal.
It loads the full screen and then goes to the "simple view."
I also couldn't install Java from the button to download. I got
errors. I had to save it to my desktop and then run it.
Currently I'm using Vista with 2.0.0.4. All these issues just happened
with the newest release of FF
I've been having a lot of CPU usage issues myself, sometimes with FF
taking upwards of 200k (generally not unless 1. I've been running it a
long time, or 2. I start some sort of Java applet, specifically if I
decide to go on Pogo.com). I don't personally have any add-ons,
though, so I'm not having any of the other evident problems that seem
to be happening.
