Hi,

I just tried to install the add-on for lightning (0.9) in Thunderbird.
But I keep getting the following error-message:

[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005
(NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.executeSimpleSQL]"
nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame ::

:: addColumn :: line 898" data: no]

Any idea how I can fix it?

Tanks a lot,
Erik

Hi, I am a new lightning user, too, with the same error :

Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005
(NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.executeSimpleSQL]" nsresult:
"0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame ::

:: addColumn :: line 898" data: no]

I get an error message whenever I click on any email in TB. Quite annoying.
I also installed the Birthday add-on as this was mentioned here before.
No effect.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Frank

On 10/30/08 12:39 PM... FTR did say:

I got a similar error when installing Lightning 0.9. What I did was

- uninstalled Lightning
- renamed "storage.sdb" in "C:\Documents and
Settings\*youruser*\Application
Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\*randomname*.default\" to something else. (I
just renamed mine to "storage.sdb.old".)
- reinstalled Lightning

No more error.... hth

Well, it is only a five year old thread. ;)

If you are having problems with Thunderbird and Lightning start another
thread stating your operating system, versions of Thunderbird and Lightning.

If you are still using Lightning 0.9 too bad.
