Dear all,

I upgraded bugzilla to latest stable build of 3.2 but now I can't access Graphical Reports and New Charts. Can you guys tell me what could be wrong with it?

Thanks & regards,
Mubashir

Your request is missing some info. http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#beprecise

Here are a couple questions that will help us help you:
1) Did you copy your full data directory from the old version into
Bugzilla 3.2 before running checksetup.pl?
2) Does checksetup.pl contain any install commands or missing
versions? (Put the whole output from checksetup.pl here:
http://pastebin.mozilla.org/ then reply with a link)
3) Is the 3.2 set up on the same processor as the old version?
4) Which old version are you upgrading from?
5) Have you configured your crontab to collect the statistics?
6) What errors do you receive when you try to access the Graphical
Reports/new Charts links?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting back to me on this one.
For point 1)
I applied the upgrade by overwriting the files created by previous install of Bugzilla (i.e. same location)

2) It contains install command for PerlMagick which when I run it can't find the package. I've uploaded the output from checksetup.pl at http://pastebin.mozilla.org/592563

3) Yes it is the same processor as the old one (3.0.6 build).

4) I upgraded from version 3.0.6 to latest build (3.2).

5) Since I am hosting it on WindowsXP, therefore I have defined three scheduled tasks to collect stats and whines as mentioned in the install instructions.

6) There is no error displayed, just a blank area above the chart toolbar with broken image icon and next to it is text which says "Graphical reports result".

Many thanks,
Mubashir

Some good info there. If you RMC on the broken image and click either
'Copy Image Location', or 'Properties' and copy the image URL, what
does it provide? If you access that URL directly ('View Image' in
Firefox) do you get a more descriptive error?

The url for image (by RMC and clicking on Properties) is: http://supporttestkit/bugzilla/report.cgi?bug_file_loc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_id=&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=CLOSED&bugidtype=include&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cumulate=0&deadlinefrom=&deadlineto=&email1=&email2=&emailassigned_to1=1&emailassigned_to2=1&emailcc2=1&emailreporter2=1&emailtype1=substring&emailtype2=substring&field0-0-0=noop&long_desc=&long_desc_type=substring&product=RCC%20-%20ORCA&query_format=report-graph&short_desc=&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=&votes=&x_axis_field=component&y_axis_field=product&z_axis_field=&format=bar&ctype=png&action=plot&width=600&height=350

Now if I try accessing it directly in Firefox it gives me the following message.
The image "http://supporttestkit/bugzilla/report.cgi?bug_file_loc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_id=&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=CLOSED&bugidtype=include&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cumulate=0&deadlinefrom=&deadlineto=&email1=&email2=&emailassigned_to1=1&emailassigned_to2=1&emailcc2=1&emailreporter2=1&emailtype1=substring&emailtype2=substring&field0-0-0=noop&long_desc=&long_desc_type=substring&product=RCC%20-%20ORCA&query_format=report-graph&short_desc=&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=&votes=&x_axis_field=component&y_axis_field=product&z_axis_field=&format=bar&ctype=png&action=plot&width=600&height=350" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Thanks & regards,
Mubashir

I have the same issue. When I save the report PNG to a file and open it
in a hex editor, it looks to me like the PNG has been converted to wide
character data instead of being interpreted as binary. That makes me
suspect this is related to:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464992

I suspect it's an issue peculiar to version 3.2 and Windows.

Hello Eric,

Yes you are right as I can't even see binary attachments (image files) attached to the bugs.

Now the next question is, is there a plan to fix this problem or any workaround or should I revert back to old version (which of course is gonna be a lot of pain for us)?

Regards,
Mubashir
