An alternative way to acknowldge new contributors

just had an idea to the topic discussed earlier in today's meeting. My idea is about setting up a Facebook page or a webpage on Mozilla for new contributors to welcome them in, to give them a list of all the projects and things they can do to help, as well as to answer (in real time) for the new contributors, any questions they might have. That could alleviate a lot of new contributor's questions about where the information on project can be found, etc., and of how quickly to get a hold of someone. And to give the new contributors more info on projects, etc., with which they could help, we could also link the webpages of the Mozilla site that have detailed information on those projects so that they can go directly to those webpages from there. my thought on this is that it could help new contributors to feel more at ease when first starting out if help is available in this way, too, for them. Please share any thoughts you might have on this topic. Thank you.

This has been tried before, I think, and 15 welcome pages, all

different, is perhaps even worse than none! So if you do this, you
should first research what's available already and consider improving it
instead of making something new. :-)
