On the new Get Involved page there's a form people can use to say they
are interested in contributing to a specific project area.

http://www.mozilla.org/contribute/

We've been getting a lot of inquiries about marketing and so far I've
just been replying with this generic response:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla.org/Contribute/Canned_responses#Marketing

I think it might be more useful for someone actively involved with
marketing to introduce new people to all of the different
opportunities. Would anyone on this list be interested in being the
point person to handle these marketing inquiries?

If anyone is interested in bringing new people in to marketing, you're
also welcome to get involved with the Get Involved page in other ways
like providing content we can put on the page or posting a marketing
volunteer opportunity on one of the volunteer referral sites we are
trying out, such as VolunteerMatch:

http://www.volunteermatch.org/search/org96493.jsp

If you'd like to talk more about any of this, let me know.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I'd be happy to be the point person to handle these inquiries.

Cheers

William

Hi Ahmed: That is great :) Welcome! Please join us for our next marketing call if you can (Dec. 2, 10 a.m. PST/18:00 UTC) or join us in #marketing on irc.mozilla.org

We'll send details out on the call in a week. Also, if you want to introduce yourself -- what you do, where you're from, etc. that would be great!

Thanks,

Mary

Hi Ahmed: It's a pleasure to meet you virtually! We have a few community members in Bangladesh -- it would be great to introduce you.

Seth: Can you make an introduction?

Thanks,

Mary

Introduction:

I have been patronizing the OSS movement in Bangladesh since 1999. BDLUG was
the first meeting place for the Linux users of Bangladesh. Ankur is another
localization project, fully voluntary, followed the suite and localized many
OSS projects.

Currently I hold the position of CEO in IT&T Bangladesh, I also call myself
an OSS Evangelist. Last but not the least to let you know that I can market
ideas and products in an efficient way.

Well that all about it,

Regds...
