to marketing
The following strange guy is selling promotion spots on his own motor, and
is located in Italy. Since the prices are extremly low (few euros for
January), I think it might be funny to get him promote Firefox. What do you
say?

(If you are positive, hurry up to buy spots before all of them will gone)

I think that the idea is funny, and I wish the guy well, but I am not
sure we would want him to advertise Firefox: he is a space for
rent...from a certain point of view I could see it as a post-modern
statement, a work of performance art, but I am honestly not sure.

I think the point about Firefox is that people do it because it means
something, it is about the world they want. Not because they're selling
a small part of themselves very cheaply, however funny and interesting
that might turn out to be.

Thoughts?

I agree.
I don't think common marketing is right for Firefox. Probobly
something more creative done by people who really care? :)

I dont know. I do not see much difference between Tomer's idea and FuzzyFox
one. Free is relative. Lots of contributors paying an AD in traditional
forms can be cool sometimes.. A smaller team, or even an individual could
well pay the motorcycle dude if they really want. It all depends on the
intention in the end - being devotion of time or money or other form of
motivation. I can look from your angle too.

And if someone is more creative fine. Otherwise do whatever you want as long
as it is safe and sort of cool it's a diverse space of thoughts and that's
exactly what gives ideas to others. After I saw that NY ad I had lots of
ideas about groups of people doing in things in the traditional marketing
spaces. It has to do with the end goal I guess.
