One suggestion for next campaigns.
I remember reading a vague identi.ca reference in a previous campaign,
but a post ("dent") option is not being included as it's done with
Facebook and Twitter.
As you know, services such as identi.ca*
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenMicroBlogging) are more akin to
Mozilla principles and, despite nowadays they still do not have the same
public as the other closed ones, I think we should support them (at
least by providing some links from our promotions).
We should take into account that, when Firefox 1.0 was released, it
represented less than 2% global marketshare but, thanks to the support
and commitment of an increasing number of users and contributors, we are
celebrating this anniversary today.
Tell me if I could help you.
* Many Mozillians are already using this tool
(http://identi.ca/peopletag/mozilla), and there is even a community
Mozilla-centered version of this service (http://mozillaca.com/).

If you have Identi.ca or Mozillaca accounts you can make your posts to an
Open Microblogging platform alternative to Twitter and configure your
account so that each post is forwarded to Twitter.

Thanks William
@Mary
I'll research what can be done w.r.t synchronizing identi.ca & twitter
as i can see that will
be a important question for a lot of tweeters.
FYI
The main idea we have (perhaps as part of a mozilla Drumbeat campaign)
is to promote to anyone
who is using Firefox,.. to post their 'tweets' to identi.ca and have
identi.ca forward them to
twitter so that we effectively demote twitter to a "read only"
microblog for users supporting
the "open web" and this campaign could run until twitter opened up to
identi.ca,.. .
Our big idea is that some day we would have Mozilla running their own
version of identi.ca
that exists primarily to support the Mozilla community and anyone who
supports the open
web. "Mozillaca" is our 6 month effort to give everyone a chance to see
what this could be like.
Best, Paul
