We have some exciting news to share! Juniper Networks approached us earlier this year to feature Firefox and the Mozilla community in its global advertising as part of a co-marketing campaign. This will take the form of billboards, digital panels, posters and more that will start running in airports worldwide.

Juniper's angle for this campaign is 'It’s time". "It's time to deliver value. It’s time to end complexity. It’s time to fix the problems. And Juniper Networks is the one company with the solutions that will get you there." As part of this global campaign for their products and services they are are showcasing customers. They approached us to "testify" on how using Juniper is allowing us to better serve our community and millions of web users. If you're not aware, we've been using Juniper products and services in our data centers and they have been key to helping us achieve the bandwidth and scale required to deliver Firefox and our websites to the world. You can see an example of the campaign here [http://www.flickr.com/photos/82445883@N00/5808798017/in/photostream]. It just started and will kick off in SFO, JFK, Dulles, Chicago O'Hare, Heathrow and Frankfurt.

Tokyo and Hong Kong will be added soon and the campaign will run through July and possibly August.

This is a great opportunity to get in front of *many* travelers in international hubs during the busy summer travel period and complements our recent brand work. We'd like to capture them so please take a photo and upload it to Flickr or Twitter with the tag #fxjuniper if you see it. Looks like Mayumi and John discovered the first one ;-) http://www.flickr.com/photos/82445883@N00/5808830983/in/photostream

Thanks and please let us know if you have any questions!

Love it!. I feel this will continue to go in an interesting direction.
Juniper has to do with network right? We are talking about high speedy
coolest robust means to people act in the social space. And we are a lot
open and social. Plus, I feel there is a trend on interactive billboards --
things like games. I forget the name of a company that about 5 years ago was
doing a lot of billboard games with cellphone as "the joystick" -- I saw a
case that was Tokio vs New York playing live. And just last week a mozilla
friend sent to me the news about McDonalds interactive billboard [2].

The whole model clicked again strongly for me specially because I created a
few projects in Brazil it's about 2 years old already and what I call a
social-aware kiosk system with Gecko [1] which is not much different of the
type of billboard social panels Mozilla has inside its office in Mountain
View. So I am feeling that these things are in front of us and asking to be
out there, to fly. I pinged also Mozilla Labs, while in my last contract,
trying to create a case, asking Mozilla to support the space where the Web
is not the Desktop and it is not the Mobile.

I respect we have to go through the traditional world of bill boards first,
I understand what marketing is doing now. Perhaps will help us to get to a
point we will cross our technology with these spaces. We might be closer
now. Perhaps it's about time we could try an experiment. Maybe a game in
Canvas, WebGL, maybe just a bit cool feedback system in online social
billboards in spaces --- I wonder your thoughts.

I also feel this connects a bit with the story and annotation I saw from
Atul [3] (@mozilla) in a mozilla marketing etherpad doc -- I had to buy the
book. With a live feedback system our billboard stories will reflect what
Mozilla is and people will feed the joy of the project.
