Hi everyone...
So there are basically three sorts of things that have emerged from
the Code of Conduct discussion so far:
1) Questions
2) Suggestions
3) A debate about specificity and language
I'm going to start separate threads for each of these. If, in the
end, you think I have missed a significant point or issue from the
original thread, please let me know.
In addition, I will be doing a new draft of a Code of Conduct early
next week. It will be based on the newer v2 version of the Ubuntu
Code of Conduct, which you can see here:
http://bit.ly/H3Mot6
I went through it and I think all of the changes they have made
between v1 and v2 are good, although I need to go over the
"Leadership" part in a lot more detail.
I will also:
1) Make minor changes based on the discussion so far.
2) Propose some things to cut as being largely irrelevant to Mozilla
or to the current document
3) Propose some more significant changes and additions based on the
discussion so far
4) Do some light wordsmithing where the language is inconsistent or awkward
I'll post diffs for each of these, and the proposed cuts & significant
changes will be marked clearly so they're easy to review.
My target is to have that draft ready by Wednesday afternoon.
Feedback about any of this is always welcome -- ping me in IRC or IM
or email or whatever.
Thanks.
